Beef Top Round Steak

Beef top round steak is a lean, economical steak cut from the top portion of the round primal, located in the cow’s rear leg. It is sometimes called inside round steak because it comes from the inside of the rear leg. It has excellent beef flavor but requires proper cooking because it is naturally lean and less tender than cuts from the loin or rib.
